2020年12月19日，法拉古特天津校區再獲一項權威官方認可——
AFATJ received another official certification–
我校成為ETS美國教育考試服務中心TOEFL Junior?官方考點學校。這意味著，從2020年12月起，學生在本校內即可參加TOEFL Junior?考試。
On December 19, 2020, AFATJ became the official partner of ETS EDUCATIONAL Testing Service (ETS) TOEFL Junior?, allowing students to take the TOEFL Junior? test on campus.
不僅如此，未來ETS將依據天津及周邊地區對TOEFL Junior?的考試需求進行考場安排，未來，所有希望參加考試的校外適齡少年們均可在法拉古特學校天津校區參加考試。
In the future, ETS will arrange TOEFL Junior? test center based on needs in and around Tianjin. We wish that students from other schools may also take the test at AFATJ.
目前，ETS TOEFL官網上可清晰看到天津地區增加了唯一線下筆紙考試地點。
Currently, ETS TOEFL’s official website clearly shows that an offline testing site has been added to Tianjin area.
在準考證上可以清晰看出考點名稱為：“法拉古特學校天津校區”字樣。
The admission ticket shows the name of the testing site: “Admiral Farragut School, Tianjin Campus”.
就在上周六，法拉古特還進行了首場TOEFL Junior?線下考試，今天我們就一起來回顧一下是如何實現這場完美首考。
Last Saturday,AFATJ carried out its first TOEFL Junior offline test. Let’s take a look at how we did it!
12.18 周五 考前準備
December 18th, Friday -Preparation
15:00, ETS機構進校布置考場，每個考場為15人。
At 15:00, ETS came in and arranged the examination rooms for 15 students each.
16:00，教務處對考場進行二次審核，并將考場進行封貼。
At 16:00, the Academic Affairs Office conducted a second audit on the examination rooms, then sealed the examination rooms.
12.19 周六 考試當天
December 19th, Saturday -Test Day
9:30起，首批75位學生有序進入5個考場。10:00-12:00，考試于學校順利進行。
Starting from 9:30, the first batch of 75 students entered the five examination rooms in an orderly manner. The examination time is from 10:00 to 12:00.
順利結束，我們考完啦！

TOEFL Junior? 考試適用于11歲以上的學生，主要用于衡量學生在校園學術生活和日常社會生活中的英語語言水平，包含對閱讀理解、聽力理解、語言形式和含義以及口語能力的考察，可以反映學生在以英語為媒介的教學環境下的英語應用能力，為教師和家長提供如何提高學生英語水平和能力的有用參考信息，指導學生發揮出全部潛能。
TOEFL Junior ? exam applies to students over the age of 11, is mainly used to measure students’ English level in both academic and daily life. TOEFL Junior? tests in four areas: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, linguistic form and meaning, and speaking ability. It can reflect students’ ability to use English in an English teaching environment, provides teachers and parents useful reference information on how to improve students’ English level and ability, which will further guide students to play its full potential.

“TOEFL Junior 俗稱“小托福”，主要面向初中年齡段的學生。
“作為教學部門，我們希望通過引進這種權威性的語言標準化測試來準確把握學生的英文掌握程度，并以此為依據在英語教學方面進行合適的調整和改進。
“作為考點學校，我們希望越來越多的校內外學生來我校參加小托福考試，從而提升英語學習的興趣和自信。”
“TOEFL Junior is one of the tests in the ETS TOEFL Junior Test series, which is aimed at Junior high school students. By taking this test, the school, parents and students can accurately understand the students’ English ability and level. As a teaching department, we hope to accurately grasp students’ English proficiency by introducing this authoritative standardized language test and make appropriate adjustments and improvements in English teaching based on this. As a test center, we hope that more and more students, both inside and outside the school, will come to our school to take the TOEFL Junior test, so as to improve their interest and confidence in English learning.”
放眼未來，法拉古特學校天津校區一定會有更多的“天津第一”和“天津唯一”！
